• Day 01: Haridwar

    Arrive Haridwar. Literary meaning the, Gateway to Lord, Haridwar is the place where Holy River Ganges leaves the Himalayan Hill and enters the plains of North India. The centre of Indian culture and Yoga, Haridwar is one of the seven holiest places of Hindus and one of the four sacred places where Kumbh Mela is held every three years and Mahakumbh Mela every 12 years. Arrive Haridwar, met by THO tour executive and transfer to the hotel to check in. Evening proceed to visit the Grand Aarti at Har Ki Pauri on the bank of River Ganges. It is one of the most mesmerizing and spiritually uplifting experiences of Indian culture. The head priests of all the temples on the Bank of River Ganges, come together to offer prayer to River Ganges every evening after the sun sets. Each of them lights up large fire bowls and offer their prayers with singing of Vedic hymns, while in the background gongs of the temples rings producing a spiritually uplifting environment. Hundreds of people on both sides of banks of river Ganges participate in the Grand prayer ceremony, lighting small earthen lamps and floating them on river Ganges as a symbol of hope and wishes. The golden hues of floral diyas reflected in the river Ganges present the most enchanting sight. Return to the hotel in the evening. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Day 02: Haridwar - Rishikesh

    Start your day with the visit to Har Ki Pairi to witness morning prayers at the temples and see people bathing on River Ganges, even when the water is freezing cold. Explore the temples along the bank of the River Ganges visiting Chandi Devi Temple, built in 1939 by King of Kashmir Suchat Singh atop Neel parvat Hill, be amazed to see the old and young devotees thronging it, after hiking for a steep climb of 03 kms. For your convenience, you can visit it by taking the ropeway available, giving you a scenic view of Surrounding hills of Haridwar. Visit the various Ashrams on the ghats of River Ganges. Later check out hotel and proceed for Rishikesh – the gateway to Garhwal Himalayas. Rishikesh is a name of Lord Vishnu, that means “Lord of Senses”. Legend is that the place got its name after Lord Vishnu who appeared to the saint 'Raibhya Rishi', as a result of his tapasya (austerities), as Lord Hrishikesh. Besides being a very important religious centre for Hindu, Rishikesh is also recognized as the world capital of Yoga. Arrive Rishikesh to check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Rishikesh.

    Day 03: Rishikesh

    Start the day early by visiting one of the local Yoga Ashrams, where you can participate in one of the Yoga Classes. Yoga is an ancient practice to keep your mind and body healthy through a series of meditational and physical postures. Yoga teaches you to go back to your routes, to be one with God and your soul. Learn some of the basic postures of Yoga, which you can use to keep your physical body in shape. Later in the day explore the surroundings of Rishikesh visiting Laxman Jhula, a 450 ft long hanging bridge on the river Ganga which was built in 1939. According to myths and legends Laksman, brother of Lord Rama crossed Ganga River on a jute rope from this point. The 13 storied temple is located near Lakshman Jhula where the idols of several Gods and Goddesses are kept & Ram Jhoola which connects Swargashram with Shivananda Ashram. Several ashrams are located near Ram Jhoola. Ram Jhoola is bigger than Laxman Jhula and even more picturesque. Visit the various Ashram to learn the Hindu Philosophy of life. Evening attend the famous Evening prayers at Parmarth Niketan. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Stay overnight at the hotel. Optional activity : Rafting can be arranged at Shivpuri

    Day 04: Rishikesh – Haridwar

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast check out and proceed for onward journey.
