  • Day 01: Arrival Thekkady

    Arrive Thekkady and a delightful family will welcome you to their comfortable home. Pepper County is an idyllic home spread over an area of 7 acres in Kumily. The home stay is set amidst spice plantations and paddy fields. It is a nice place to spend a peaceful, relaxing holiday in the quaint setting of Kerala. The home stay offers well-appointed accommodation on top of an array of adventurous activities. Pepper County is indeed a paradise for nature lovers and honeymooners who come in search of tranquility. The home stay offers limited accommodation in its cozy rooms with attached modern bathrooms. All the rooms are well furnished with customary amenities. After a delightful home cooked lunch later in the afternoon enjoy an hour’s spice plantation walk along with an English speaking local guide followed by half an hour’s elephant ride through the plantations. Back to your hotel, freshen up and later in the evening make a short drive to a local house to enjoy the nuance of Kerala cooking followed by dinner. Overnight Home Stay. (D)

    Day 02: Thekkady

    After a hearty breakfast at the home leave for full day - Trekking & Bamboo rafting at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary from 08.00 hrs till 17.00 hrs. Evening return back to home stay. Overnight Home stay. (B,D)

    Day 03: Thekkady

    Enjoy a full day excursion to Gavi Forest Reserve. At a distance of 40 Km from Periyar sanctuary (Thekkady), there lies an Eco-System named GAVI with luxuriant forest, grassland and wild animals. Spread across the beauty of Periyar Tiger Reserve, Gavi is a quite, beautiful & pristine forest heaven. These evergreen forests are abundant with magnificent wildlife including the tiger, elephants, leopards, bears, Indian gaur, sambar, mouse deers, lion tailed macaque, Nilgiri Marten and lot more. For the nature lovers, Gavi offers the complete acquaintance with the flora & fauna. Gavi often serves as the base camp for deep jungle trekkers, bird watchers, nature lovers and research students.

    Our trip starts early in the morning at 05.30 hrs by jeep towards Gavi (about 40 km).

    8.00- 8.30 AM: Get recharged with good breakfast and the day starts with trekking through the forest under trained guide to fully enjoy the natural beauty of Gavi.

    12.30: Return from trekking for a sumptuous south Indian vegetarian lunch. The adventurous first half of the day is balanced with a relaxing row boat ride after lunch.

    Return to the registration spot after a day full of adventure and enjoyable sightseeing. Indulge yourself for to a refreshing tea break before dispersing at 4.30 pm. Drive back by jeep to your Priyaar. Overnight Home stay. (B,L,D)

    Day 04: Departure Thekkady

    After breakfast the morning is at leisure. Later check out of the home stay for onward destination. (B)
